Knee injury has Conklin fighting to get back into the game

When Michelle Conklin went down in a heap during a practice over Winter Break her season almost dashed to the floor with her.

During an aggressive drill, Conklin fell to the floor and fellow players Jaime Bennett and Danielle Edwards also fell; they happened to fall on her knee.

Conklin is no stranger to knee injuries. During high school she tore her Anterior Cruciate Ligament and thought she might have done the same at practice a month ago.

“I heard a pop and felt my knee sort of slide out,” Conklin said. “I really expected the worst because afterwards I could barely walk. My knee swelled up a lot more this time than it did in high school.”
