The Appalachian State University women’s indoor track team
routed the second-place University of Tennessee at Chattanooga by
83.5 points to claim its fourth straight title.
The men’s team came in second by 21 points, behind Western
Carolina University.
The women jumped out to an early lead on the first day of the meet,
Feb. 27, and never gave it up.

Despite being the defending champions, Appalachian State University’s
wrestling team will need to shock and awe its opponents to repeat
its championship at the Southern Conference Mat Jam this weekend
in Charlottesville, Va.
“We’ve been beat three times this year, so the pressure
is gone. The pressure is on Citadel, because they’re 5-0,”
ASU head coach Paul Mance said.
