It has been a season of hard luck losses for Nick Peterson, Appalachian
State University baseball’s only legitimate ace. That tough
luck continued for Peterson last Friday, allowing just four hits
in six innings but losing to The Citadel, 6-2, on the road.
The Citadel’s Jonathan Ellis had a career-high outing, striking
out 12 ASU batters and spreading out seven hits over seven innings
to improve to 4-2 on the season.
The Bulldogs got ahead for good in the first inning, putting in
three runs in the bottom half of the frame. continued
