'The Prince & Me' evokes estrogen overload, male gagging

This review was supposed to be about “Hellboy.”

Have you seen “Hellboy” yet? I mean, have you really just kicked back and basked in the glory of that film? If you have, then you know what I’ m talking about.

You could sit there and read what I’ve written, and go “yeah, ‘Hellboy’ was rad.” We could share an unspoken connection, a bond if you will.

See fellas, chick flicks take you off the hook. You may think it piles on the pressure to perform, but we recognize that Prince Eddie is fiction.

OCA presents evening with crooner Cincotti

Be inspired by an evening with 20-year-old jazz pianist and singer Peter Cincotti.

Presented by the Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA), the performance will be held in Farthing Auditorium at 8 p.m. Saturday.

“It is a weird concept to play a standard jazz song that is unfamiliar to students and the first time they are hearing it is from me,” Cincotti said. “It’s a great feeling to share this music with my generation.”

Cincotti’s music aspirations began early with a diverse exposure to music.

4 on the Floor slaps knees at Canyons

As a band known for sporting deer antlers and Johnny Cash masks during live performances, 4 on the Floor will turn heads with its old-fashioned, knee-slapping, honky tonk country music Saturday at 10 p.m. at Canyons Restaurant.

“If you’re going to have a generic name like 4 on the Floor, you gotta do something stupid,” lead vocalist Nathan Palmer said. “[The name] came off a bathroom wall at an Exxon off of I-77.”

Guns N’ Roses tribute band Appetite for Destruction will be playing Legends April 15. Doors open at 9 p.m. Advance tickets will be sold for $5 at the information desk of Plemmons Student Union. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $7. The show is BYOB with a six-pack limit and proper ID.

“Help us put the Aid into AIDS in Africa,” a charity concert featuring Sister Stone and Indigiquality, will take place at Geno’s on April 15. Doors open at 8 with $3 admission. The show is 18 and up.

APPS presents "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" at I.G. Greer at 7 p.m. Admission is $1.

Appetite for Destruction plays Legends at 9 p.m. The event is BYOB, six-pack limit with proper ID.
