The search for a new location is over as Razzberry’s Natural Market settles into its new home on N.C. Highway 105.

Razzberry’s moved from its former location in the Log Village Shopping Center on Blowing Rock Road during the last weekend in March, owner Buzz Beeson said. Razzberry’s is now located in Suite 12 of Heritage Court across from the Graystone Lodge.

The store was closed about three days for the move, Beeson said.

“This was the location we found that had the right amount of space available, that we needed,” Beeson said. “It’s very hard to find space in Boone, and this was the one we found that was able to meet our needs.”

Razzberry’s, along with several other businesses, had to seek a new location when the owners of Log Village sold the property to Walgreens, a national pharmacy chain that plans to build a store in Boone.

Beeson said he learned of the possibility of the sale in October, and the decision was finalized in mid-December.

“We were sad that we had to move because we’d been there for 15 years,” he said.

Log House Florist, another business that moved after the Walgreens sale, looked at the site in Heritage Court. The space was not adequate for their needs, so they told Razzberry’s about it, Beeson said.

Razzberry’s also received help from John Bolp of Century 21 Realty, Beeson said.

The new location has a bright and airy layout, Beeson said. The site also features increased parking.

“We’re actually very happy with the new location and the way it’s turned out,” he said.

“It’s given us the chance to rearrange the store in ways that we might not have been able to do in the old location.

“All in all, we’re very pleased with the new location,” Beeson said.

Manager Deedee Grant said she is also happy with the new site.

“It’s nice and bright, it’s got a really good feel to it, [and] it seems to be on a pretty major traffic pattern, which I’m hoping is going to be a good thing,” Grant said.

The only disadvantage to Razzberry’s new location is that people accustomed to the old location will have to find it again, Beeson said.

“But I think that’ll correct itself with time as people get used to where we are now,” he said. “It may even prove to be a better location.”

Lisa C. Rood is an employee at Razzberry’s.

“I like [the new location] because it’s more convenient to my house,” Rood said. “I don’t have to deal with [N.C.] 321 at all.”

Razzberry’s Natural Market has been selling natural and organic goods and produce since Beeson opened the store in 1989.
