Buccaneers sweep Mountaineers

East Tennessee State University got up over .500 in the Southern Conference with a three-game home sweep of Appalachian State University last weekend.

Sophomore right hander Jeremy Hall pitched a complete-game seven-hitter to lead the Bucs to a 13-3 win in game one Saturday afternoon.

Club volleyball competes in national competition, places third

The Appalachian State University men’s club volleyball team wrapped up this semester with the team’s first ever trip to nationals, capping off a third place campaign in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association conference this season.

Inexperience and injuries slowed Appalachian State, but senior Jared P. Ambrose said the team competed well.

Appalachian State players were forced to play heavy minutes due to lack of depth and endured position changes as a result of an injury.
