Our Perspective ... A new look, feel for your newspaper

There are more than likely many of you who have picked up this, the first summer issue of The Appalachian and were perplexed by the different look than the one you last saw in May.

The Appalachian has decided to undergo a re-design, spearheaded by 2003-04’s Associate Editor for Production Operations, Jessica Hines. We are still the same paper delivering quality news coverage twice a week for the past 69 years, just doing it with a more modern look.

It is important that all newspapers, especially those on a collegiete level, remain on the cutting edge and always aiming to achieve a new level of excellence.

Right now the official list of those turning down invitations: Shaq, Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Jason Kidd, Karl Malone, Ray Allen, Vince Carter, Elton Brand and Kenyon Martin.
