Well, Appalachian didnt beat
Hawaii. I cant say Im surprised. Despite the absence
of their starting quarterback, the Warriors still managed to blister
our defense with second-stringer Jason Whieldon. But instead of
focusing on the 40-17 score, lets take a look at some positives
for the Mountaineers.
The most impressive performance by an Appalachian player came from
K.T. Stovall, a senior defensive end and a preseason All-American
selection. Stovall made an impact on several plays and put constant
pressure on Whieldon. Even the Fox Sports announcer, terrible as
he was, complimented Stovall, saying hes got a motor
that doesnt quit. After leading the team in sacks last
year with 10, expect Stovall to wreak even more havoc on opposing
quarterbacks.
