To the Editor:
Why is it that
ASU can spend thousands of dollars on events such as concerts and
the preparation of MTV coming here, but yet the only way students
can pay respect to the 9/11 tragedies is just a ribbon?? Are the
deaths of our brothers and sisters really not that important when
compared to MTV on campus? Is that the message thats being
sent? Maybe the candle light vigil didnt draw as many people
as some would have liked, but for most students it was a respectful
way to mourn the loss of our country. How can we as a university
just push aside the events that occurred on our own ground and focus
all of our attention on the MTV interviews? Maybe we should all
take a step back from our busy lives and look at our
priorities.
