Our Perspective ... Campus governments: effective or ignored?
   We've heard it before.
Campus governments--student, faculty or staff--rally behind a resolution, only to have it shot down by administration.
Resolutions either aren't researched adequately, or fall short in support from constituents. What about the well-researched, well-supported resolutions?

With 38 staff members, The Appalachian manages to produce a newspaper twice a week. Unlike many “real world” experiences, our staff must manage class work, homework and possibly other jobs. Unlike many “real world” experiences, our staff members are not paid for their work per se, but rather they receive scholarship-like stipends.
