Only 8,753 fans attended Appalachian State University’s
game against the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on
Saturday, but those who came saw a record-setting individual
performance and Appalachian’s most dominant win in
recent memory. “We were as concerned and worried
about Chattanooga as any team we’ve played,”
ASU head coach Jerry Moore said after his team’s 47-7
blowout. “I think this shows a lot about the heart
of this team, because there is no one in the league playing
harder than UTC. I had no idea how we would react today after
the loss last week (at Wofford College).”
