Dates in Boone are about more than the Regal

I love that feeling you get when you meet someone new: all happy and giddy like you’ve entered middle school again.

I tell all my friends about him: How wonderful and perfect he is, smart, funny. I run into the bathroom and check my hair right before I know we’ll run into each other and read into every little thing he says.

“I think he’ll ask me out soon,” I tell my friends. “Today is the day.”
Then when I see him and he says, “So what are you doing tonight,” and I reply “Nothing,” I wait rather impatiently for his next question.
“Well would you want to go to the movies?”

Abort mission! Run away! The movies? While flattered to have been asked out, never am I so offended as when a guy invites me to the movies.

US has problems president needs to fix

Who are you voting for in the upcoming elections?

Will it be Donkey-Face or Dubya, the flip-flopper or the guy who cannot pronounce “nuclear” correctly?

I’m not going to tell you who to vote for.

Instead, I’ve decided to list some characteristics that I think a president should possess, some values he should uphold and some problems that he should be worried about and have solutions for.
