Intelligent voting a necessity

Is there anybody left on campus not registered to vote?

Outside of perhaps a few former felons, The Appalachian cannot find anyone.
With the last day to register to vote tomorrow in the state of North Carolina, organizations like the Student Government Association (SGA), College Democrats and College Republicans are making a final push to bring students in to vote.

Citizens can register to vote at Watauga County High School, Plemmons Student Union or even at the Vans Warped Tour.

The Appalachian wonders: is this is all too much?

I’m a big believer in fate. And it is precisely fate, or maybe the timing of nature, that led me into this world Oct. 9: the same birthday as John Lennon, one of the most interesting and integral members of the world’s greatest rock revolution.

With his birthday just around the corner, I am taking this time to dedicate a Beatles awareness day for all those unfortunate people who are victims of the current pop music fad.
