Mountaineers prepare for Furman showdown

Senior Staff Writer
Appalachian State quarterback Richie Williams was short and sweet when asked what it would take for him not to play Saturday: “An act from the man above.”
Barring an act of God, Williams, who missed the Oct. 2 game against Texas State with a sprained MCL, will lead the Mountaineers Saturday in a showdown with No. 2 Furman.

Volleyball sweeps Western Carolina

The expression ‘don’t give up when the going gets tough’ can be said about any of the past seven teams Appalachian have dismantled.
However, that expression doesn’t tell what to do when the tough start to get going.
