AppalCART sees 23 percent increase
Need for more routes surfaces with ridership reaching 39,000

AppalCART reported last week that ridership for the month of August is up 23.3 percent from a year ago, with total ridership reaching 38,287 passenger trips.

An upcoming charity project will give each Appalachian State University student the opportunity to move up to the chancellor’s desk while helping to fight local hunger.
The Appalachian Ambassadors are collecting canned goods and other non-perishable food items Sept. 27–Oct. 1 as part of the 8th annual “Chancellor for a day” canned food drive.
