Is liberal bias in media a myth?

The “liberal media.”

What a perfect pairing of words to account for conservatives ever being cast in a poor light!

Critics now point to CBS anchor Dan Rather’s misinformation scandal as yet another example of the media’s liberal bias. Rather has, in fact, long been criticized for liberal leanings.

CBS and other major news media, however, are hardly liberal, and the notion of a “liberal media” is a myth.

In fact, I would argue that today’s media is rather conservative.

Fact or fiction: Gospel true word of God?

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Dan Brown’s “The Da Vinci Code.” That’s saying a lot considering I’ve only read seven chapters.

I bought it for two reasons. One was I hadn’t read a good novel in a while. For those of you who are thinking of reading it yourselves, I recommend you do it when you have a good deal of spare time. This isn’t the kind of book you can read a couple of pages and then drop it to do something else.

The other reason is because the controversy surrounding it. Mainly, whether or not Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene ever sat in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g.

Many Christians (including myself) would tell you Jesus and Mary were friends, nothing more.

But then how do we know what was written down about Jesus in the gospels?
