At the Movies: 'In Good Company'

Far from the normal mode, “In Good Company” is a story of the corporate world that is warm, unassuming and even somewhat harmless.
Perhaps it is the good actors or the quiet subplots involved that make it so, but this movie never has the time nor the inclination to take a fully vicious stance against the evils of the corporate world. I’m glad it doesn’t go in that direction. That would have been boring in this movie.

Allstars bring rock, blues to Legends

Taking a step back into Southern rock and blues comes the latest band to perform at Legends. North Mississippi Allstars will take the stage Feb. 3 at 9 p.m.
Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS) brought North Mississippi Allstars to Legends. The band is touring to promote their third album, “Polaris.”

Selah brings reggae to Boone Saloon

Reggae group Selah will perform Thursday night at Boone Saloon.
Selah will perform their reggae and rock repertoire, along with two opening acoustic acts. The band, led by singer and guitarist Mark Evangelist, has a very experienced 10-year background and performs music related to famous bands, such as Sublime.
