Concert brings wave of relief for tsunami victims

Since the tsunami disaster Dec. 26, the need for aid is greater than ever and Appalachian Popular Programming Society is stepping up to help.

Legends will host the Tsunami Relief Concert tomorrow. There will be performances by 4’Taye, Split Shot, Nomotai and Malachi Dolls. All of these bands play locally on a regular basis.

Army band takes tour to ASU

Appalachian State University is on the short list for the touring U. S. Army Band, Pershing’s Own.

As the premier band of the U.S. Army, Pershing’s Own represents the Army and the nation around the world. Primarily the band functions as ceremonial, musical support to the nation’s capital.
