ASU slow in giving rights to domestic partners

While state and national governments, the media, churches and other groups have been very hostile toward homosexuals; the academic community has an opportunity to make the college environment a more hospitable place for all people.

Universities, which claim to be forums for the open exchange of ideas, must lead society by example.
