Career Development Center

This Friday, September 19, Wachovia is offering students the opportunity to participate in mock interviews. Each student will be videotaped and their performance critiqued. All majors are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity but they must first register on 1stPlace. Call the office for more details at 262-2180.

In addition to the mock interviews on September 19, Wachovia is inviting students to "Tent Day" on September 18 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in front of the College of Business. Free food and drinks!

Thursday night, September 18, Wachovia will host a general presentation at the Broyhill Inn from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A recruitment video will be shown, and business attire is requested, but there's more free food!

Student Health Service

The Health Service is offering the Hepatitis B vaccination series for ASU students.  The enrollment period for the vaccination program will be during the month of October.  Students may not enroll in the programj at any other time during the 1997-98 academic year.

The vaccination series consists of 3 immunizations, the first given on the enrollment date (October); the second one, a month later (November); the third, 6 months after the first (April).

Students interested in participation in the program are to report to the Pharmacy at the Health Service Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. during October.  Students must have a valid student ID.  The cost of the immunization series is $90 and is to be paid on the date of enrollment or $35 per vaccination if paid for separately.

December '97 graduates can order official Appalachian invitations and announcements and purchase undergraduate and masters caps and gowns from Setpember 22-24, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The sale will be on the top floor of the University Bookstore. Diploma frames, class rings, and other cool alumni stuff is also available.

The weight room will be open the same hours as the facility, except from 9:00 a.m. - noon, Monday through Friday. The gym and indoor track are available for use at all times the facility is open except on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
