Night Mother
The Pulitzer prize-winning play will be presented Feb. 5-7 by the dramatic honor fraternity Alpha Psi Omega.
The performances will be at 8 p.m. in Greer Arena Theatre. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for all others.
The play describes the story of a woman who lost her husband to divorce, her son to a life of crime and a father to death. After the losses, she contemplates committing suicide.
Night Mother is recommended for mature audiences.

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
Doors open at 7 p.m. in Farthing Auditorium Feb. 9 for the “world music” of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.
Admission for students with an Appalachian identification card is $8 in advance. For the general public and at the door, the price is $12.
The Flecktones specialize in jazz, rock, funk, worldbeat, celtic, blusgrass, Latin, classical, reggae and blues.

Department of Theatre News
The Department of Theatre and Dance announced the spring 1998 schedule.
On Feb. 5-7 Night Mother will be presented at the Greer Arena Theatre at 8 p.m. Admission will be charged.
Pieces of She will be performed Feb. 12-14 in Greer Arena Theatre. Donations are welcome.
Feb. 18-22, The Foreigner will be presented at Valborg Theatre at 8 p.m. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults.
Performed on Feb. 25-26 will be Spit Like a Big Girl at the Valborg Theatre. Admission is $5 for students and $10 for others.
An Evening of One Acts will be produced three times during
the season. All productions will be in the Greer Arena Theatre at
8 p.m. Seats will be $2. The presentations will be March 19-21,
March 26-28 and April 30-May 2.
Narcotics Anonymous Meetings
Narcotics Anonymous (N.A.) will be meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. in Room 304 in Walker Hall.
The only requirement for N.A.is a desire to stop using drugs. There is no fee for attendance at the meetings.
Founded in 1953, N.A. group membership surpassed 20,000 in February 1995.
