SGA Elections

Students can vote in the Student Government Association (SGA) presidential and vice-presidential elections Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19.

Off-campus students can vote in the Plemmons Student Union, outside of Raley Hall and between Walker  Hall and Wey Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On-campus students can vote in their residence halls from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
 

Who Stole Feminism

The Forum Lecture Series will feature author and professor Christina Hoff Sommers on Wednesday, March 18, at 8 p.m. in Farthing Auditorium.

Sommer’s lecture is entitled “Who Stole Feminism” and maintains that “feminism used to be about fairness and quality, not about ‘male bashing,’ censorship and victim politics as it is today.”

The lecture is free and open to the public.

Mormon Panel Discussion

What have you always wanted to know about Mormons, but were afraid to ask?

Students have the opportunity to learn about the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at a panel discussion held in the McRae Peak Room in the Plemmons Student Union.

The discussion will be held on Thursday, March 19, at 7 p.m. and is moderated by Professor Ray Larson.
 

North Carolina Poet

Michael McFee, a native North Carolina poet will read from his works Thursday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m.

The reading will be held in the Calloway Peak Room in the Plemmons Student Union.

McFee has been described by his contemporaries as the best poet emerging from the so-called Southern Renaissance.

Books will be available for purchase and signing after the reading.
