Summer School 1998

Appalachian State University students planning to attend summer school should register now to secure classes.

Voice registration for all summer and fall terms will be held from March 30 to April 16.

TRS Access Notification Cards were placed in ASU boxes March 5-10.  If one was not received, contact the Registrar’s Office.

Payment for the first summer session is May 13.

To Kill a Mockingbird
 

The unforgettable characters of Atticus, Scout, Tom and Boo will come to life in the theatre production of To Kill a Mockingbird.

The play will be presented on Wednesday, March 25 at 8 p.m. in Farthing Auditorium.

Tickets for the performance are $6 for students and children under 12; $12 for seniors, faculty and staff and $15 for all others.

Aquatic Wild Training

Aquatic Wild Training will be held by Tim Lemmon on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Training will be held in the Roan Mountain Room in the Plemmons Student Union.

Treble Choir Performance

More than 30 women’s voices will join in song on Tuesday, March 24 at 8 p.m.  The performance will be held in the Rosen Concert Hall.

Admission is free.

Directed by Dr. Priscilla Peebles, the women’s choir will perform selections from composers such as Faure, Butler, Barber and Rich.

In addition, the University of Chicago Motet Choir will perform a cappella music from the Renaissance to the 20th century.
 

Solar Energy Society
Workshops

The Solar Energy Society will sponsor a series of mini-workshops that help promote the viability and feasibility of appropriate and renewable energy technologies.

The workshops will be held will be held during the spring semester on  Wednesdays at 8 p.m. in Room 17 in Kerr-Scott Hall.

The programs are free and open to the public.
