An Appalachian Summer
Festival Season
What do country singer Willie Nelson, internationally renowned pianist Andre Watts, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band from New Orleans and the North Carolina Symphony have in common?
These artists will appear as part of An Appalachian Summer Festival’s 14th season scheduled for July 5 through August 1, 1998 on the Appalachian campus.
Tickets for most festival performances are $16 for adults, $9 for students and $2 for all children ages 12 and under.
Season tickets are available at discounted prices.

The Smoky Mountain Brass Quintet will perform May 4, at 8 p.m. in the Broyhill Music Center’s Recital Hall.
The quintet is in residence at Western Carolina University, with four of its members on the university’s music faculty.

“An Evening of One Acts” will be presented April 30 to May 2, by the Department of Theatre and Dance.
Each performance will feature three student-directed one-act plays and will begin at 8 p.m. in I.G. Greer Arena Theatre.
Tickets are $2.

It’s not your typical concert, but then the Steely Pan Steel Band is not your typical band.
The performance begins May 6, at 8 p.m. in Farthing Auditorium.
Tickets are $4 for students and $6 for the general public and are available at the auditorium box office.
