Bomb threat called in on Tuesday
ASU University Police investigate second threat of the year

The second bomb threat of the school year was called in on Tuesday to the Traffic Office said Captain Larry Foster of the University Police.

“An unidentified caller called to the traffic office,” Foster said.

He speculated that the caller was an “irate student or faculty member upset about a ticket.”

The building was evacuated, and pedestrians were asked to cross the street to walk on the other side.

A search was conducted of the premises, outside and inside the building.

At 8 p.m., it was determined that the grounds were safe, and the traffic office reopened, Foster said.

He said that he doubts that the threat had any connection to the shooting in Littleton, Colo.
