Imagine living in an apartment where your rent includes electric utilities, water, sewer, local phone service, Internet access and an intrusion alarm.
Not to mention that the place is fully furnished, has a fitness center, full-sized washer and dryer, a game room, a resort style pool, computer lab and roommate matching. One might think a place like this does not exist or that the cost per month would be through the roof.
The fact is, a place like this does exist. It is called University Courtyard Apartments and can be found off U.S. Highway 105 at 289 Ambling Way.
Leasing became available in January for fall of 2000. The cost per month depends on your living choice.
For a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, the cost is $485 per person, but for a four-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment the rent is $395 per person.
Apartments are available for college students only. No more than one person per bedroom is admitted.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments is 780 square feet with the bedroom space being 10-by-12 square feet with a walk-in closet.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is 1,190 square feet with the bedroom also being 10-by-12 square feet and no walk-in closet.
Unlike living apartments or dorms on campus, University Courtyard has no Resident Assistants, said property manager Joy Rogers.
