Cathcart/Goad Announce Candidacy

Phil Cathcart and Ashley Goad announced their candidacies for Student Government Association president and vice-president on Monday.  In a press conference held Monday in Plemmons Student Union, Cathcart and Goad outlined their platform and goals for Appalachian State University in the coming years.  In “Balancing Experience with Ambition,” the two juniors emphasize their time spent serving in SGA combined with a platform including plans for an improved Diversity Roundtable, improved campus security and increasing accessibility of SGA to students to make a positive difference at Appalachian State.  “The key to get these things to work is to publicize them,” said Goad.  The candidates fielded questions following their presentation.
