Affordable prices, a laid-back atmosphere and a short walk from campus
make Mile High Sub Co. No. 1 in Boone for subs and sandwiches.
The restaurant’s owner, Jake Boczon, said Mile High Subs caters to more
than just college students with a variety of subs, sandwiches and
chicken options for everyone’s tastes.
“It’s fresh subs made to order,” said Boczon.

| Meredith A. Greene, a sophomore psychology major, said she and her
friends often go to the restaurant because of its cheap prices and good
food.
The restaurant, which is located behind Blockbuster, ranges in food
prices from a six-inch sub for $4.01 to a 50-piece wing platter for $35
and combos for as low as $5.99.
Boczon said the best-selling item is the chicken tender combo for
$5.99, which comes with five chicken tenders, fries and a drink.
The restaurant recently purchased a Cheerwine slushy machine, which
also draws students for a cool refreshment to go with their sub, Boczon
said.
Greene said her favorite item on the menu is the Chicken Philly.
The restaurant operates from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7
a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Breakfast is
served Monday through Saturday.
“[We’re unique] because of our customer service and the quality of our food,” Boczon said.
The restaurant accepts only cash but provides an ATM inside.
