Three males, one allegedly armed with a shotgun and the others with baseball bats, held up the three inhabitants at a Park St. apartment at 11:30 p.m. March 25, Boone Police said.
No injuries were sustained in the armed robbery.
A male and two females occupied the apartment.
After answering a knock at the door, the inhabitants were reportedly confronted by the
weapon-brandishing two white males and one black male.
The robbers were described as being in their early 20s and wearing hooded sweatshirts with bandanas
covering their faces.
The alleged robbers, demanding money, took a wallet containing a small amount of cash.
They then left in what was reported as a blue Scion automobile.
Boone Police are still searching for the three offenders on charges of home invasion and armed
robbery.
“We’re still following any leads that may come in on this, but at this point we don’t have anything that
would point us to a particular person,” Capt. William Greene of Boone Police said.
An apartment in the Village at Meadowview was also broken into between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Thursday while uninhabited.
Items stolen included flat screen televisions and game consoles. Boone Police remain looking for
leads.
“There’s not any indication that the two [incidents] are connected,” Greene said.
Greene added that so far, the year-to-date number of burglaries and robberies for the Town of Boone is
not abnormally high.
