Wofford takes bye week
Wofford will be the only SoCon team taking a bye this weekend. The Terriers will resume SoCon play next weekend when they host Chattanooga.
Georgia Southern at Chattanooga
Georgia
Southern enters the matchup as the only SoCon team with a records
currently under .500 after losing its first two conference games
against Elon and Wofford College, both in final moments of the clock.
The
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is looking to rebound from a
conference loss to Furman University and pick up an early conference
win.
Furman at Elon
Elon
University senior place kicker Andrew Wilcox was named the SoCon
Special Teams Player of the Week, as well as the College Sporting News
National Player of the Week.
Wilcox
kicked the game-winning field goal for Elon against Georgia Southern
University last week with six seconds on the clock. He kicked three
field goals, one of which was 45 yards long.
Samford at Western
Samford
University opened SoCon play last week against Elon University ,
suffering a 23-17 loss after putting up nearly equal running and
passing yardage.
Western
also lost their first conference game of the season to The Citadel last
week, 34-14. Quan Warley led the Catamounts in rushing with 41 yards,
while quarterback Andy Horn passed for 115 yards and one touchdown.
