AppalCart issues create problems for students
I live on Old Bristol Road and use the Green Route of the AppalCart to get to and from class everyday. I was very shocked and upset when on Nov. 21 the AppalCart failed to come and pick up the students patiently waiting to get to class.
There were about 10 of us huddled in the shelter, some were saying they were going to be late for tests, some for presentations, and some just didn’t want to miss class.
I finally called
the AppalCart office after we had been waiting for 15 minutes only to
find out that the bus would not be going down our road.
I feel
cheated because I could not get to class. We’re paying for these
classes and should not have to be absent from them because of weather.
I can
understand if the road is “too dangerous” for the bus, but they should
at least send a van or something to provide a way for the students to
get to campus. It’s only fair.

Opinion pieces raise student input
After reading the opinion page in the paper on Nov. 20, I was surprised to see how many people are upset about the cafeteria move.
I commend Liles Neal on his article but Stephanie Straubel seemed to be reaching for excuses, as do most of those opposed.
I did notice that those in the Reader Forum, along with Ms. Straubel, who are against the move are underclassmen. This is probably because they still live on campus.
However, no matter how negatively you view this subject, know this: life is hard.
You do not always get to take the easy road and you just need to be adults and deal with a couple weeks of inconvenience.
