Tom Prosser, 1984-2008
To our Appalachian State University family and friends:
Words cannot describe the pain and sorrow we feel from the loss of Tom, however, our spirits were lifted and our hearts hurt a bit less because of Tom’s and our Appalachian State family. Your presence, your words, your support and your financial gifts made a terrible situation bearable.
All of you
that arrived in our little town and community for Tom’s memorial
service truly made lasting memories and helped glorify and give
testimony to the way that Tom lived daily.
Tom
truly loved all of you and had hoped to return to the Boone area to
live and work after Tiffany’s graduation from nursing school and their
marriage.
Tom
was privileged to play baseball with a group of extraordinary young men
and coaches with whom he formed many bonds. He truly loved the sport
and his only wish was that he may have continued to play at another
level.
The
Prosser and Rutledge families have decided to originate and endowment
fund in Tom’s behalf so that he may give back to his Appalachian State
University family and baseball-the sport he so loved. The details will
follow later so that those who want to contribute to the endowment may
do so. Also please don’t forget Tiffany, Tom’s fiancée, and continue to
keep her in your prayers as well.
Always remember Tom’s motto: “Live, Laugh, Love…” and always give everything 110 percent-nothing else will do.
May God bless you all and thank you for your continued support.
The Prosser and Rutledge Families.
