Report: Peterson turns down offer to return as head basketball coach

Former Appalachian State University head basketball coach
Buzz Peterson has turned down an offer to return in the same position,
according to a Thursday report from The Associated Press in The Charlotte Observer.
Had he accepted the job, Peterson would have replaced
recently departed head basketball coach Houston Fancher.
Fancher resigned as head coach March 16.
Peterson will continue in his position as Director of Player
Personnel with the Charlotte Bobcats, saying it was “bad timing” to return to
the school.
