Appalachian State played their first Northern Pacific Conference match of the year Friday, taking down Davidson 3-2.

Five minutes into the match, Nicole Morgan scored on the opposing goalkeeper with a quick shot. Three minutes later, ASU’s Lisa Charney scored off of an assist from Jessie Harris, quickly putting the Mountaineers up 2-0.

When asked how this season would be different than previous years, Morgan said, “This is a totally different year, we are on the up and up. We want to take the conference title and come out on top."
